RULES TO GAME:

The game will be run online to get more players involved.

To start off, everyone who is playing the game MUST be apart of the Face book
group which come in use later in the game.

Each player will receive an email address, one email from the shinigami
which will give them their alias, which will be the user name to the Discussion
forum. They will also get their real game name which Kira will need to kill off
a player.
- In some cases, the player may receive in the email that they are Kira,
L, or N. The Goals of those players are listed further down.

Groups
-The Goal of the Groups it be the Group to effectively single out and
capture Kira before any of the other groups do. If there are multiple kira, the
group will either get a special advantage or points (has yet to be decided)

At the start of the game their will be 3 groups. The FBI, the Mafia, and the
S.T.F. (secret task Force) each group will have to have a group vote and vote
in a Leader. That leader will then get access to every player in their group’s
game name. Remember, that your goal is to find Kira, but find them before any
other group so, working with Kira to eliminate other groups is always a
possibility.
-Remember that ANYONE except L can work with Kira and if you could
manage a deal, you could give up anyones player name to Kira in exchange for
Kira to give information, or whatever

Leaders
As the leader you will have access to everyone in your group’s player
name. You will also have full control over your forum thread which will be
password protected to only allow members of your group in. You can be
overthrown by your group which will either leave u exposed to the will of Kira
or you can be killed off by your own group which will retain any information
from Kira’s hands.(look at Leader death to see how this is done.) Also you will have the ability to put anyone in your group under arrest (detention, the trunk of a car etc…) To do this just send an Email to the Shinigami and that player will be banned access for 5 days to the forum. (As kira, u must post at least one death every 5 days) You can also put someone else in jail from another group, but your decision can be over turned with a
majority vote from the other groups. All arrests must be publicly announced and
the player name of that character must be publicly addressed. (Careful of
detaining your own members, they will become extremely careful targets for
Kira.)

New Groups
New groups can be formed with anyone but each player can only be in one
group at one time and leaders cannot leave their groups. To form a group you
must have at least two players and one leader and then contact the Shinigami
(admin) and you will get your own discussion page with password protection.
Careful of leaving groups and pissing off their leaders, they have your player
name and if they find you a threat they can work with Kira and get you and your
group killed.


Other Players

L
-Goal of L is to Expose Kira and/or get control of the “Death Note”
solely. This can be done by tricking the Groups into giving L enough
information to make a personal arrest. L can be a Leader of a Group a member or
work separate if they so choose or are forced to.
L is a special Character whose has a separate set of goals than the Groups. L
will get in an Email, their player name, their alias and a fake name. The fake
name can be used instead of giving the leader your player name. (ONLY L AND N
ARE ALLOWED TO DO THIS). To expose L, L must either be killed by Kira, sent to
jail, or if he is voted out as a leader to a group. If L is voted out or sent
to jail, their real name will not be publicized, only the fact that they are L,
which means that L will be almost forced to work alone for the rest of the game
since L’s goal, is to solely possess the Death note. L can never work directly
with Kira. If this does happen, L will be taken out of the game and a new L
will be assigned. L can give out his player name for information as a
desperation measure if L is exposed and forced to work alone.

N
-N’s goal is to get control of the notebook and kill L or manipulate
Kira into killing L and then taking the Notebook. This can be done in any
number of ways. But most effectively by tricking everyone from the groups to
Kira
N’s rights are similar to L. N will also be given an Alias, a fake name and a
player name. N can work with anyone to obtain his Goals, including Kira. He
also can be exposed in the same ways as L. and N can give up his player name in
desperate situations
-exception, If N is exposed and manages to control the Death note and
there is only one Kira, N will be killed and a new Kira and N will be made. N
and a single Kira can’t be the same person, only since the game will just turn
into N finding L. and exclude every other player.

Kira
-Kira’s goal is simple, be the last person and don’t get caught. It’s
all about conquering it all through deception, lying, trickery and misleading,
whatever needs to be done. It may seem like it’s everyone versus you, but if
you can play on the paranoia laced throughout the game, you can make everyone
suspect everyone and create mass chaos while quietly picking off players one by
one.
Kira will get an Email with a player name, an alias and a password to a second
Email address which will be Kira’s Email. Kira’s email can be used for mass
emails to taunt people, make secret deals with other players and to communicate
as kira to the Shinigami. Kira will also get a kira log in name to the discussion which kira and kira alone will be able to post in the death note. The Death note must be posted in every 5 days. Any name can be posted in the Book not just player names so don’t feel you have to expose people right away. If the Kira does not post at least once every 5 days, that player will be kicked out and a new kira will be assigned. Also if the kira player gets caught in a situation such as put in jail, they may hand off the Death note rights to any other player at the cost of giving up their player name.(and at the cost of being killed and forced to give up any information) Kira can work with anyone he/she chooses to. Kira can also contact anyone and share information or propaganda to help eliminate players. Also Kira can use the Death note to force anyone to give up any information they know before they die (leaders, players, L, N will be forced to give up names, possible leads on L, N, even knowledge of kira so that Kira can change their tactics.)
-Remember that their can be multiple Kiras!!

Death note

Deaths
As a player you can die two ways. One way to be killed by Kira. Kira will send
you an email with your player name to prove your death, and a list of things
Kira demands before you die. Such as information, other player names linked
with aliases, possible leads on L, N, if it retains to the game and you know
it, kira has the right to force you to give it up.

Leader Death
The second way is to be overturned and killed by your group if you are a leader. This is done for the reason if you are screwing your group over by selling out to Kira, It allows your group to exile you without fear of Kira getting a hold of their player names and killing them. So Careful not to screw your group over unless of course your L or N.

*All death emails must be sent to both the recipient and the Shinigami to make sure the player adheres to the rules. As far as Exiling a Leader, the Majority of your group must send an email subjected “Exile” to the shinigami

Group Forums
Each established group will get their own password protected forum. But if all
the members are eliminated by Kira, then that forum is deleted along with all
the discussion that group had, unless Kira wants the information. In that case, the player must email them to the Kira email.

Email
Emails will all be public and anyone can email anyone via these emails (except
L to Kira regarding information) this provides a great way to make secret
groups or for kira to make deals with players

Death note:
Death note will be a forum thread in which everyone can view who has been eliminated
but only the kira's will have access to write on the forum

Starting Out:
To start things out there are three initial groups, the FBI, the MAFIA and the STF. When you first play the game you will only have access to the Press room. Please inform the admin which group you want to be in via email and I will put you in the group, you must then decide a leader. To make things interesting, send the shinigami an email of who you want to be the leader and the person with the most votes will win, BUT you can not vote for yourself. Send the Email with the group name and the person who you would want to be the leader.

JAIL
When a player goes to jail, their player name will be exposed. Any leader can send anyone of their own players to jail, but if they are to send a player from another group to jail, An email will be sent to all the other group leaders and they can veto the request, when putting someone in jail, You must send an email to the shinigami.
